Q. I am looking for a particular clock, can you help me out?
A. Contact us here to send in any requests, we’ll let you know how we can make it happen!
Q. What kind of condition are the records in?
A. We use original vintage LP records, so depending on the age of the record they CAN develop some scuffs along the years. When searching for new records we use an extensive screening process to ensure we only use records in the best possible shape, especially the label! In certain cases and depending on the artist, we determine if any cosmetic damage outweighs the value of creating a clock from it. We don't use records that still sound great, we're music fans too!
Q. How are your Custom Design clocks made?
A. Our custom designs clocks are imagined in Matt's head and then transferred to life through his camera, computer, and large scale professional printers printing on Kodak paper. We then apply the prints to what we refer to as "jobber" records (sorry Jean LeLoup), and trim away the fat until we have a circular clock on a vintage record - we're experts.
Q. What’s the best way to care for my new clock?
A. While not much maintenance should ever be required, we recommend keeping your clock clean to make it look as awesome as possible. Using a mild cleaning solution on a paper towel and wiping the vinyl gently, avoid hitting the arms as best you can. Make sure to always use the dial located on the clock mechanism to adjust the time – never use the arms to change the time. While dust is a very common problem with vinyl, due the the hook we use on our mechanism our clocks hang at a slight downward angle significantly reducing the amount of dust that can build up, if any at all
Q. What is your return policy?
A. You have 14 days from receiving your clock to fall in love, if not simply return it for an exchange or refund. We will accept exchanges for another clock for 30 days after you have received it. Vinylclocks.ca does not cover the return shipping cost except in cases where we were at fault or a clock is defective.
Q. Is there any type of guarantee?
A. Our clocks and mechanisms have a 1 year guarantee against defects, if your clock stops working for any reason we will fix it for you.
Q. I have an issue with a clock I ordered!
A. That’s technically not a question (R.I.P Phil Hartman), but we’ll be to help you out. Give us an email here explaining what went wrong and who we need to blame and we’ll figure it out.
Q. How long will it take to get my order?
